What is Community Sponsorship?

For over 50 years of experience has taught us that the best way to change a child’s life is to tanform their world. When a child’s community is stable and productive, the people around them can provide for their long-term wellbeing.

As a Community Sponsor, you will be joining a community of generous Cambodians committed to bringing lasting change to our children living in poverty.

Changing a child’s life begins with transforming their world.

Your monthly contribution will support projects and activities designed to improve the lives of the most vulnerable children and transform their communities.

What is Community Sponsorship?

Community Sponsorship is a form of support that enables the public to sponsor the community by contributing a minimum of $10 per month. They can increase by any amount after they start at the minimum amount. Community Sponsorship will provide an opportunity for Cambodians to experience the life-changing transformation of being a sponsor and to personally contribute to the well-being of children, families, and the community, while experiencing the joy of being part of transforming vulnerable children’s life stories.

How does the community benefit from my monthly donation?

Your donation supports long-term community development. Funds are used to implement key programs in health and nutrition, education, and child protection and participation, helping communities become self-reliant so children can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Why is World Vision supporting communities in Cambodia?

Despite economic growth and international support, many children in Cambodia still live in poverty. The Community Care Program enables Cambodians to actively contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable children and building a brighter future for their communities

What if I want to stop or change my support?

You may stop or adjust your support at any time and for any reason. Community support is designed as a long-term partnership, but we understand that personal circumstances can change.

Can I visit the community I support?

Yes, you may visit the community through trips organized by World Vision. Independent or unplanned visits are not allowed, as they may violate child protection, privacy, and security policies.

Can community members visit me?

Due to limited resources, World Vision is unable to arrange visits for community members to meet individual supporters. However, supporters are welcome to join official visits organized by World Vision.

Can I donate more than the minimum amount?

Yes. The minimum monthly donation is USD 10, but many supporters choose to give more. Some donors contribute between USD 10–50 per month. We are deeply grateful for any additional support that helps improve the lives of vulnerable children.
